Scandinavian inspired architecture

The architectural style of this property is unlike those from any of our other projects. Inspired by the use of pine and oaks in modern Scandinavian Expressions, we’ve adopted a localised version when designing this house. Instead of pines or oaks, we used chengal, a type of wood that is available only in our part of the world. As a natural termite proof wood type, we took the pains to treat our chengals with special chemicals so that it’s colour will wash off gradually, simulating that of its Scandinavian counterparts. Although the process of using treated chengal is highly uneconomical for the nature of our business, we find the outcome to be very pleasing to the eyes. We are contented so long as we can find that one buyer who is appreciative of our artwork. After all, we don’t make such reckless decisions all the time!

Intelligent use of space

In the world of houses, the word “space” is largely used to describe areas where one can lay his foot on. We however decided to revolutionise the commoner’s definition of “space” with this project. We did this by strategically placing air wells and maximising floor space such that a 6600 sq ft house can enjoy the profile of a good class bungalow. You really have to visit the site to appreciate its magnificence!

Home or resort?

When the house was completed, we were so tempted to host our company’s annual getaway here. Simply, it is beyond what a home can be. It’s more like a resort in a private island. This house is nothing short of quality finishes and artistic expression of architecture that blends in with the lush tropical greenery that we carefully placed all around. Those who believe in fengshui will be pleased to know that all the layouts and placements are designed with the consideration of fengshui principles. Now isn’t this special?
